Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to introduce one of the most interesting casts in the history of the series.
At the centre of the story are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple whose lives become intertwined after a seemingly straightforward score goes badly wrong.
But Jason and Lucia aren’t alone.
Rockstar has now revealed several other GTA 6 characters who inhabit Vice City and the wider state of Leonida, ranging from bank robbers and drug runners to music industry hustlers and social-media-savvy rappers.
With GTA 6 scheduled for November 19, 2026, we already know considerably more about its characters than we did following the game’s first trailer.
In this GTA 6 characters guide, we’ll look at every major character Rockstar has officially revealed so far, what we know about Jason and Lucia’s relationship, and how the supporting cast could fit into the wider story.
Who are the main characters in GTA 6?
The two central GTA 6 characters are:
Jason Duval
Lucia Caminos
Rockstar’s official description of GTA 6 makes their relationship central to the story.
Jason and Lucia know the odds are against them, but after an apparently easy criminal job goes wrong, they find themselves caught up in a conspiracy stretching across Leonida.
Their survival will depend heavily on trusting one another.
This gives GTA 6 a noticeably different setup from GTA V.
Rather than beginning with three separate protagonists, everything Rockstar has revealed so far points toward Jason and Lucia forming the emotional and criminal centre of GTA 6’s story.
Let’s look at them individually.
Jason Duval
Jason Duval is one of GTA 6’s two central protagonists.
Rockstar says Jason grew up around criminals and con artists. After experiencing trouble during his teenage years, he joined the Army in an attempt to escape that lifestyle.
It apparently didn’t last.
After leaving the Army, Jason eventually ended up in the Leonida Keys, where he began working for local drug runners.
That background immediately gives us some useful clues about Jason.
His Army experience could potentially explain some of the combat and weapons skills we see him demonstrate, while his involvement with drug runners connects him directly to Leonida’s criminal underworld.
But Rockstar portrays Jason as someone who may be getting tired of that life.
He wants things to become easier.
Instead, meeting Lucia appears likely to make his life considerably more complicated. Rockstar even suggests that meeting her could prove to be either the best or worst thing that ever happens to him.
That relationship looks set to become one of GTA 6’s most important storylines.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia Caminos is the other central protagonist — and one of the most talked-about GTA characters Rockstar has introduced in years.
We know that Lucia learned to fight from a very young age.
Rockstar says her father taught her how to defend herself almost as soon as she could walk.
Her determination to protect her family eventually landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, although she has managed to get out.
That experience appears to have changed her approach to life.
Rather than simply drifting from one criminal opportunity to another, Lucia seems highly ambitious.
She wants the comfortable life her mother dreamed about when the family lived in Liberty City, and she appears determined to make that happen herself.
Rockstar describes Lucia as being fresh out of prison and committed to changing the odds in her favour.
That makes the contrast between Jason and Lucia particularly interesting.
Jason seems to want an easier life.
Lucia appears determined to build a better one.
Those goals aren’t necessarily incompatible — but the methods they use to achieve them could create plenty of problems.
Are Jason and Lucia a couple?
Everything Rockstar has shown strongly establishes a romantic relationship between Jason and Lucia, while also making their criminal partnership central to the game.
Rockstar specifically says that a life with Jason could be Lucia’s way out, while Jason is clearly uncertain about where their relationship will ultimately lead.
The pair have frequently been compared to the famous American outlaw couple Bonnie and Clyde, although Rockstar itself has not defined the characters simply in those terms.
What is confirmed is that they will need one another.
When their attempted score goes wrong, Jason and Lucia become caught in a wider criminal conspiracy across Leonida.
That provides the foundation for GTA 6’s story.
It also suggests that trust could become a major theme.
GTA games have always involved betrayal, shifting alliances and criminals looking out for themselves.
Building GTA 6 around two characters who need to rely on one another could therefore produce some particularly interesting choices and story developments.
Cal Hampton
Cal Hampton is one of Jason’s friends.
He’s also connected to Brian Heder, another character we’ll get to shortly.
Cal appears considerably happier staying out of the action than Jason.
Rockstar portrays him as someone who prefers sitting at home, drinking beer, browsing the internet and listening in on Coast Guard communications.
He also appears to have a healthy — or perhaps unhealthy — interest in conspiracy theories.
Rockstar describes Cal as content with his position in life, while Jason clearly has bigger ambitions.
That could make Cal an interesting supporting character.
Every GTA game needs characters who provide information, contacts and comic relief without necessarily being the person kicking down the door.
Cal seems well suited to that role.
Boobie Ike
Boobie Ike is considerably more ambitious.
Rockstar describes him as a Vice City legend who successfully transformed his street experience into a legitimate-looking business empire.
His interests include:
- Real estate
- A strip club
- A recording studio
But the legitimate businesses don’t necessarily tell the whole story.
Boobie remains connected to Vice City’s criminal economy and has formed a particularly important partnership with aspiring music mogul Dre’Quan Priest.
Together, they’re attempting to build Only Raw Records into something bigger.
Boobie therefore appears to sit at an interesting intersection between Vice City’s nightlife, music business and criminal underworld.
That could make him an important contact as Jason and Lucia move deeper into Vice City.
Dre’Quan Priest
Dre’Quan Priest has always wanted to make it in the music business.
Rockstar describes him as more of a hustler than a gangster.
Although Dre’Quan has previously sold drugs to make ends meet, his real ambition has always been music.
He’s now working with Boobie Ike and building Only Raw Records.
And he may finally have found the act capable of putting the label on the map.
That act is Real Dimez.
Dre’Quan’s storyline gives Rockstar an opportunity to explore another side of modern Vice City — the relationship between music, nightlife, social media, fame and street culture.
Considering how important radio stations and music have traditionally been to Grand Theft Auto, Only Raw Records could potentially become a memorable part of the GTA 6 world.
Real Dimez – Bae-Luxe and Roxy
Real Dimez isn’t one person.
It’s a rap duo consisting of Bae-Luxe and Roxy.
The two have known each other since high school and have managed to turn their experiences on the streets into music and an aggressive social-media presence.
They’ve already experienced some success.
A previous collaboration with local rapper DWNPLY gave them an early hit, but several years and plenty of trouble later, they’re trying to break through again.
That’s where Dre’Quan Priest enters the picture.
Real Dimez are now signed to Only Raw Records, giving Dre’Quan the potential hit act he has been looking for.
Their inclusion also highlights something increasingly obvious about GTA 6.
Rockstar appears to be leaning heavily into modern social-media culture.
We’ve already seen social-media-style clips throughout GTA 6 promotional material, and characters such as Real Dimez fit naturally into that world.
Raul Bautista
Raul Bautista could prove particularly important to GTA 6’s criminal storyline.
Unlike some of the younger hustlers we’ve discussed, Raul is an experienced professional.
Rockstar describes him as a seasoned bank robber with confidence, charm and cunning.
He’s constantly searching for talented people prepared to take increasingly dangerous risks for increasingly large rewards.
That sounds exactly like the sort of person Jason and Lucia could encounter as their criminal careers escalate.
There is, however, a problem.
Raul appears to be reckless.
Rockstar says his willingness to take risks continually increases the stakes, potentially forcing the people working with him to decide whether to keep going or walk away.
If GTA 6 follows the tradition of previous Grand Theft Auto games, increasingly ambitious robberies could play an important part in the story.
Raul seems perfectly positioned to be involved in that world.
Brian Heder
Brian Heder is another important connection to Jason.
He’s an old-school drug runner based in the Leonida Keys.
Brian comes from an earlier era of smuggling and still moves product through his boat yard, although he now prefers getting other people to handle much of the dangerous work.
One of those people appears to be Jason.
Brian allows Jason to live rent-free in one of his properties, provided Jason helps him with local shakedowns and other jobs.
That relationship could help explain where we find Jason at the beginning of GTA 6.
It also connects several characters.
Cal Hampton is both Jason’s friend and an associate of Brian, while Jason himself works within Brian’s criminal network.
That gives us a small criminal ecosystem in the Leonida Keys before Jason and Lucia’s story expands into something much bigger.
How are the GTA 6 characters connected?
Once you put Rockstar’s character descriptions together, some clear relationships begin to appear.
On one side we have:
Brian Heder → Jason Duval → Cal Hampton
Brian provides Jason with somewhere to live in return for criminal work, while Cal is both Jason’s friend and one of Brian’s associates.
Then there’s another network:
Boobie Ike → Dre’Quan Priest → Real Dimez
Boobie backs Dre’Quan’s ambitions with Only Raw Records, while Dre’Quan has signed Real Dimez in the hope of producing a major hit.
And then we have:
Jason Duval ↔ Lucia Caminos
Their relationship sits at the centre of the entire story.
Finally, Raul Bautista potentially provides a bridge into larger and more dangerous robberies.
These networks suggest GTA 6 won’t simply be about two characters committing random crimes across Vice City.
Rockstar appears to be building an interconnected criminal world where different businesses, hustlers, robbers, smugglers and entertainers all overlap.
Will you play as both Jason and Lucia?
Rockstar’s promotional material clearly establishes Jason and Lucia as GTA 6’s central protagonists.
However, we should be careful about claiming gameplay details Rockstar hasn’t fully explained yet.
Rockstar has shown both characters extensively, but detailed information about exactly how character switching will work throughout the game should be treated separately from what has been officially confirmed.
That’s an important distinction because there are already countless GTA 6 rumours online.

Are there more GTA 6 characters?
Almost certainly.
The characters above are simply the major characters Rockstar has formally introduced so far.
GTA games traditionally contain enormous casts of criminals, police officers, business owners, celebrities, strangers and eccentric side characters.
Vice City and the wider state of Leonida are also populated with numerous people shown in trailers, screenshots and promotional material whose roles haven’t yet been fully explained.
Rather than attempting to attach names and backstories to every person fans have spotted, we’ll wait until Rockstar confirms them.
That way, this guide remains a reliable list of confirmed GTA 6 characters, rather than becoming a collection of rumours.
What do the characters tell us about GTA 6’s story?
Perhaps the most interesting thing about the confirmed cast is how varied they are.
We’ve got drug runners in the Leonida Keys.
We’ve got a professional bank robber.
We’ve got Vice City nightlife and strip clubs.
We’ve got a record label.
We’ve got social-media-driven rappers.
And at the centre of everything are Jason and Lucia.
It suggests GTA 6’s story could move through several different layers of Leonida’s criminal culture rather than focusing on one particular organisation.
Jason and Lucia may begin relatively low in that hierarchy before encountering increasingly powerful and dangerous people.
Raul Bautista’s search for talented criminals willing to take bigger risks is particularly interesting in that regard.
It could provide a natural route toward the sort of ambitious robberies Grand Theft Auto players have come to expect.
But until Rockstar reveals more, that’s a possibility rather than something we should present as confirmed.

GTA 6 characters: what we know so far
Rockstar has already revealed enough about GTA 6’s cast to give us a much clearer idea of the game’s direction.
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are unquestionably at the centre of it.
But characters including Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez and Raul Bautista show just how broad GTA 6’s criminal world could become.
Some appear likely to help Jason and Lucia.
Others could lead them into considerably more trouble.
And knowing Grand Theft Auto, some characters who initially appear trustworthy may not stay that way forever.
What makes Jason and Lucia particularly interesting is that their relationship gives GTA 6 something different at its core.
This isn’t simply the story of one criminal trying to reach the top.
It’s the story of two people whose ambitions, relationship and survival appear increasingly dependent upon one another.
